Description
This site can be used as a clearinghouse of existing career and technical online resources with broad topics that include: Career Exploration and College Planning, Tutorials and Learning Resources for Vocational Students, Skills for Today's workforce, Technical School Locators, Job Market Resources, Career and Technical Education Resources, Vocational Curriculum, Vocational Related Lesson Plans and Integrated Academic Resources, as well as contributing to a greater awareness of the Vocational/Career and Technical education system.
Uses
The main use of this site is for people looking to find a job. You can "explore vocational and technical careers, check out the skills employers really want, find a trade school, research technical topics and take a look at the current job market within the Vocational Information Center." I initially found this site because of their math resources and I believe this can be used well for a math teacher to find useful resources for teaching, filling in holes and directing students where to find more about different math subjects. There is much more than math offered on this website and in turn plenty to offer to each parent, teacher and student.
Quality
Medium quality. Does not have any flash or frills, very basic. What it does it does well, but if stumble upon this page it may not keep you there. If you are looking specifically for this type of information it is very available.
